Mr David Ralph
Mr David Ralph is a leading Consultant Urologist at the Hospital of St John & St Elizabeth and the Institute of Urology. His main interests are erectile dysfunction, penile reconstruction, Peyronie’s Disease, penile cancer and male infertility. He runs an erectile dysfunction service and is Director of the Erectile Dysfunction Clinical Trials Unit. He is Past-President of the Andrology Section of the British Association of Urological Surgeons
Mr David Ralph is the Director of the Erectile Dysfunction Clinical Trials Unit and also runs a multidisciplinary erectile dysfunction service. He currently runs a European training fellowship for penile prosthesis implantation as well as research fellowships, studying the molecular biology of erectile dysfunction, Peyronie’s Disease and priapism.
Mr Ralph has published extensively on Peyronie’s Disease and the surgical and medical management of erectile dysfunction. He is the biggest implanter of penile prostheses in the UK with two clinical fellowship programmes to teach on this.
An accomplished microsurgeon, Mr David Ralph established and teaches on the Royal College of Surgeons Microsurgery for Andrologists course. In clinical practice his microsurgery skills are of particular benefit to men requiring surgery for fertility problems or vasectomy reversal.
Mr Ralph’s other main area of interest is phalloplasty or total penile reconstruction. Mr David Ralph has previously been President of the British Association of Urological Surgeons (BAUS) section of Andrology and British Society for Sexual Medicine (BSSM). He organized the European Society of Sexual Medicine (ESSM) Congress in London in 2004. He is heavily involved in the patient organizations of the Sexual Dysfunction Association (SDA) in the UK and its European equivalent ESDA.”
